The creators of the popular arcade game Whac-A-Mole are selling their equestrian estate located in North Carolina, approximately an hour and a half from Charlotte, nestled along the John’s River with scenic views of Grandfather and Table Rock Mountain.
Listing agent Julie Breedlove shared her surprise upon discovering the connection between the property and Whac-A-Mole, a game created by Joyce and Bob Cassata, who operated their manufacturing facility, Bob’s Space Racers, in Florida for many years.
Despite their success in the arcade game industry, the Cassata family's true passion lies in horses. Breedlove emphasized that horse enthusiasts often struggle to find suitable properties through conventional real estate platforms.
Breedlove noted that the property caters to the outdoor lifestyle favored by equestrians, with a focus on functionality over opulence. Features such as cement-filled cinder blocks reinforced with rebar demonstrate thoughtful considerations for the horses' safety and comfort.
Beyond the equestrian amenities, the estate offers diverse outdoor experiences, including miles of trails, opportunities for wildlife hunting, 1,600 feet of riverfront access, and stunning vistas of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
