Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell wounded in Florida shooting

The Houston Texans organization released a statement confirming that one of their players, Tank Dell, a wide receiver, sustained a minor injury in a shooting incident in Florida. Dell, aged 24, received treatment at a hospital and was discharged on Sunday. The team clarified that the incident occurred in Sanford, approximately 40 miles south of Dell's hometown, Daytona Beach.

According to the Seminole County Sheriff's Office, the shooting took place after midnight at Cabana Live, a nightlife venue in an unincorporated area of Sanford under sheriff's jurisdiction. Ten individuals sustained injuries that were not life-threatening.

The Sheriff's Office did not disclose the identities of the victims, including whether Dell was among them, nor did they provide information about any additional shootings in the vicinity overnight. Conversely, Seminole city police spokesperson Bianca Gillett stated that no other shooting incidents were reported in their jurisdiction overnight.

Authorities arrested a 16-year-old boy in connection with the altercation, which allegedly began with an argument before escalating into gunfire. The security personnel at the venue swiftly apprehended a suspect, who was then handed over to deputies arriving at the scene.

Cabana Live stated that the incident occurred during a private event and characterized it as an "isolated incident" in their statement.
